Dr. Deepthi Jayan K received her M. Tech degree in Remote Sensing from PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Anna University. She was the First Rank holder of Kannur University in both her graduate and post-graduate programs in Physics during the year 2004 and 2006 respectively. She completed her graduate, post graduate and doctoral degrees from Nirmalagiri College, Kannur, affiliated to Kannur University, Kerala. She acquired her B. Ed degree in Physical Science from University Teacher Education Centre, Kannur. She has qualified SET and CTET examinations. She started her teaching career as an ad hoc lecturer in Physics at College of Engineering, Thalassery in the year 2009-10.

She has presented several papers in various international and national conferences. She has also published many SCI/SCOPUS indexed papers in various international journals in the areas of Materials Science and Remote Sensing and a few book chapters in international books in the area of Materials Science. Her areas of interest include Computational Materials Science, Perovskite Solar Cells and Quantum Computing. She currently serves as the Bentham Science Ambassador to India and reviewer to a number of international journals on Solar Photovoltaics and Materials Science.

She has been working as Assistant Professor in Physics under the Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities of Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kakkanad since February 1, 2016.
