Joined Hindustan Machine Tools Ltd as Engineering Trainee in 1984. Served 23 yrs and 5 months. Was DGM & Head of Electrical and Electronics Design.
Responsibilities - Design & Development of wide range of Computer Numerically Controlled Turning machines and Sheet Fed Offset Printing machines.
Have worked in installation, commissioning, servicing, production departments.
Major highlights of work include development software codes for complex automation applications, implemented indigenization of programmable logic controllers and other related items, cost reduction methods, improved serviceability and machine aesthetics.
Switched to academics as Professor in Electrical Engineering at TocH Institute of Science & Technology in 2007.
Joined Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in 2009 as Professor in Electrical Engineering.
Changed to Applied Electronics and Instrumentation in 2010
Areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Deep learning, Signal Processing, Industrial Electrical Drives and Automation. Introduced machine learning for post graduate program in signal processing at APJKTU. Have published 31 conference and journal papers in areas of machine learning, signal processing and electrical drives.
