Hari C.V. did his B.Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation from MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, Kerala during the year 2003 - 2007. He completed his M.Tech in Computer Vision and Image Processing from Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, during 2007 - 2009. During the thesis work as part of his Post Graduation curriculum, he could work with some of the young scientists in Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Thrikkakkara, Cochin, Kerala, where many of the vibrant technologists in our country pursue their career.
He understood that research is an essential part in the field of education. Research helps a teacher to keep himself up to date in his field. Considering this he tried himself to work in the related fields of his post graduate studies. He hopes a formal doctorate degree would give a clear path in this and will help him to continue his works. He completed his Ph.D from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC), Kerala, India under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Sankaran. The title of the thesis is “Clustered Manifolds for Face Pose Estimation and Driver Distraction Monitoring”. The main objectives of this thesis are to model the face pose images as non-linear manifold(s), model the non-linear manifold into locally linear regions, design unsupervised locally linear algorithms for pose estimation, and driver distraction analysis using face pose cues on a newly developed database.
He has been working in the Department of Applied Elctronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology since July 2015. Before joining Rajagiri, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Elctronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur.
He is an enthusiastic person always looking forward to face new challenges. Ability to deal with people diplomatically and willingness to learn new things are some of his positive qualities. He is a team facilitator and a hard worker.
