Jaison Paul Mulerikkal is the Vice Principal and a Professor of Information Technology at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Kochi, India. He is the founding director of Śūnya Labs at RSET. He has been a teaching staff at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) from 2004. 

He is a civil engineer by profession, but did his Masters in Information Systems from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia and subsequently received his PhD in High Performance Scientific Computing from the Australian National University. He had worked as a computational scientist at New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He had also served as the Principal of Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala. He is also a Catholic priest belonging to the religious order – the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate.

He is leading a research that developed a data analytical platform – JP-DAP – for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) with the help of Department of Science and Technology, India funding. JP-DAP can be customised to use for any other transportation system.

He is also leading a research cum consultancy work, titled “Idukki Dam Break Flood Mapping and Marking of Evacuation Points Downstream” for the Kerala State Water Resource Department.
