COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To give the Student:-
 An understanding of fundamentals of images
 An understanding of various realms of imaging processing
 An ability to carry out image processing operations.
 An overview of applications of image processing
SYLLABUS
Digital Image fundamentals- representation, elements of visual perception, Image Enhancement ,Image restoration, Image Compression, Image Segmentation, Representation and Descriptions, Morphological Image Processing, and color image processing.
COURSE OUTCOME: Upon completion of this course the student will be able to under stand the formation of digital images, the various realms of image processing and apply the image processing techniques to various image processing applications.
